The Wii was released November of 2006. Its revolutionary sensitive remote makes it so different to all the other consoles. It is also the smallest home console ever, measuring 4.4 cm (1.7") thin, 15.7 cm (6.2") high, and 22.5 cm (8.8") long.

WiimoteThe remote, called Wiimote, is shaped as a television remote. The 'B' button is located at the bottom where the index finger would normally be when using a TV remote. The 'A' button is located at the top, just under the + (cross) buttons. The 'A' button is used to select something, and even as a handbrake for racing games. Under the 'A' button are the three - (minus) NunchuckHOME and + (plus) buttons. The minus button is used to zoom out or undo something. The plus button is used to zoom in and go to the pause menu. HOME is used to go back to the Wii's main menu, check the battery of any Wiimote etc.... Under those is the '1' button. For racing games it is usually used for a brake. Under the '1' button is the last button, the '2' button. It is used as gas for racing games, some racing games use it to select.
